Getting to know Randall & Janine…
Randall Long and his wife, Janine, have been dedicated to ministry for nearly four decades. Randall has had the privilege of serving in various capacities, from worship pastor to lead pastor. His true calling is to share the story of Christ with others. He is committed to spreading the hope of the gospel through the strength and love of Christ.
He’s been so fortunate to witness Christ’s unwavering love as his wife battled life-threatening illnesses for nearly six years. This journey has gifted them a powerful story of God’s love and His amazing healing and sustaining power. Sometimes, the challenges we face can feel like mountains, so it’s crucial to have someone we can share our deepest struggles with. Remembering that we’re not alone and that God is with us through it all can give us the strength we need. Just like Peter, we might walk on water, but if we turn away from Christ, trouble is sure to come.
Randall’s is thrilled to witness the amazing transformations God brings to shepherds and their spouses who are feeling lonely, isolated, and hopeless. God truly loves us, and we’re here to support our shepherds on this journey, united by our faith in Christ.
Janine Long has served in ministry for most of her adult life. Along with her husband, Randall, they have known the enjoyment as well as the pains of ministry. She has three adult children and is known as Oma to nine grandchildren.
One of her favorite things to do is to organize and host parties and events. Celebrating life for any occasion puts a smile on her face and brings joy to her soul. While serving in ministry, Janine experienced two near-fatal health events. These have caused her to love life to the fullest as she knows that Jesus extended her time here on earth.
Two of the most difficult words a woman in ministry may use to describe herself are broken and empty. But those words don’t necessarily have to end in brokenness or emptiness. Having lived out those words, Janine found the most precious time of being made whole and complete. Every time she had nothing left to give, Jesus was so faithful to fill her with His strength and joy. Now it is her passion to bring encouragement and hope to other women who may find that ministry and life have completely depleted them. There is beauty that can come from a broken, empty soul when it has been filled and made whole by the perfect love of God.
Randall and Janine have journeyed together in marriage for nearly 40 years, during which they have also dedicated their lives to ministry. As parents to three married children—two sons and a daughter—and proud grandparents to 12, they understand the joys and challenges that family life brings.
Their extensive experience serving the local church in various roles, including children’s pastor, worship leader, and executive pastor, has allowed them to witness the trials and triumphs of both ministry and family. Having faced their own hardships, Randall and Janine have developed a heartfelt desire to create a safe space for other pastors, leaders, and spouses.
They are committed to nurturing healthy hearts and homes through Standing Stone Ministry, offering support to those struggling or feeling overwhelmed. Recognizing the pain of broken marriages, they are passionate about helping couples find healing and restoration. Having experienced both the devastation of a fractured relationship and the joy of recovery by the hand of the Lord, they understand the journey all too well.
Randall and Janine have found unwavering strength in the faithfulness of a loving and steadfast God. They genuinely believe that even in the most challenging times, His faithfulness brings light and hope to dispel the darkness, reminding others that they are not alone in their struggles.
