Hello From Texas!!!
We trust this newsletter finds you well. There's a beautiful feeling of spring here, with trees budding and temperatures comfortably hovering between 70 and 80 degrees. I had no idea just how windy and dusty Texas could be! You often hear about it, but experiencing it firsthand is a whole different story. It's definitely something to remember! Originally, we thought of Texas as just a winter escape, but it has now become our home for at least the next year. We are learning to take life one direction from the Lord at a time and His last instruction to us was to make Texas home for the time being.
Over the last three months we have celebrated the birth of our 10th grand baby, Silas Daniel Long. Born January 9th and weighing a whopping 9lbs 2oz. to our son Joshua and daughter in law Justine. Earlier this month (March) we went to Utah for our son Calebs wedding. With this marriage we gained a beautiful daughter in law, Katie and two more grands, Presley and Dos. These two wonderful "babies" round us off to twelve grand kids.
Here in Texas for our spare time we have been helping our daughter Sherylle and son in law Rocky with the care of their two children. I once heard someone say grandparents who watch their grandbabies stay young. Obviously, that person has
not cared for a two and a four year old multiple days a week! They may not be keeping us young but they are definitely keeping us smiling!
As the Lord continues to direct our steps, we will keep you informed and up to date! In all of the changes that have taken place over the last year, one thing that has kept us grounded is knowing that God is directing our steps. We can make a plan or cast our vote but in the end, God has the final say.
